Bridget is a second-year Master’s student at the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability, pursuing a degree in Behavior, Education, & Communication and Sustainability & Development. Her academic background includes dual degrees in Biopsychology and Environmental Studies from Wagner College, where she developed a passion for integrating environmental psychology into community-driven sustainability initiatives. Her current work includes developing a Strategic Plan for the Freeman Environmental Education Center to enhance environmental learning opportunities for over 17,000 Ann Arbor Public School system students. Bridget’s interdisciplinary research and teaching efforts emphasize turning climate anxiety into action, focusing on fostering resilient, informed communities. She hopes to bring back the knowledge and models the City of Ann Arbor uses for environmental education and public engagement in sustainability back to her home state of Rhode Island.
