Danielle (Dani) Fegan is a biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service Coastal Program, focusing on the Straits of Mackinac and St. Marys River focus areas. In her role with the Coastal Program, Dani aims to support partner-led habitat and species conservation, restoration, and protection in Great Lakes coastal systems. As a citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, Dani is dedicated to integrating Anishinaabe values into land and wildlife stewardship. Her professional interests include exploring innovative approaches to species conservation and habitat restoration, wildlife monitoring, decision analysis, and collaborative conservation planning.
