Kate is a Watershed Ecologist with the Huron River Watershed Council where she manages terrestrial and riparian habitat assessment programs, leads volunteer water quality monitoring initiatives in lakes and streams, and supports restoration projects rooted in nature-based solutions, including green stormwater infrastructure and shoreline bioengineering. Kate earned her Master of Science in Ecosystem Science and Management from the University of Michigan, and she has had the privilege of working on research initiatives and conservation projects across the country from southern Utah to northern Michigan.
