Mary is working towards a Sustainable Systems MS in SEAS. While also working towards completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Economics and Environmental Science, she has had the chance to conduct research concerning the conservation of rare plant and amphibian species, as well as environmental justice. Her focus in this project will be on qualitative research on existing and prospective biosphere reserves–especially focusing on partnerships and a narrative analysis of the USBN. Her regional focus on the project will likely lie in the Midwest and New England.
