Elizabeth Berghoff

Elizabeth has worked with Niswander Environmental, LLC since October 2018 and has experience in wetland and ecosystem management, including work with local municipalities, non-profit agencies, and other conservation groups. As a field ecologist, she assists in wetland assessment projects that involve qualitative and quantitative evaluations of wetlands and other natural features that require GPS surveys and GIS mapping. In addition to assessments, Elizabeth takes part in a variety of habitat restoration projects that involve invasive species control, implementation of bio-engineering stabilization techniques, and installation of plant material. She is responsible for developing and managing a groundwater monitoring program consisting of over 90 groundwater monitoring wells which collect hydrology data covering several wetland mitigation sites throughout Michigan. In addition, Elizabeth has experience drafting wetland mitigation plans using ESRI geographic information mapping software.
