Zhelin (Penny) Li is a 3rd year Master of Landscape Architecture and Conservation Ecology student at the School for Environment and Sustainability, University of Michigan. Her focus is on sustainable landscape design and planning in different contexts; she seeks to explore new scenarios of ecological restoration, equity and inclusiveness and other emerging social and ecological problems under climate change. Penny grew up in a small town that experienced severe ecological degradation due to urbanization, thus she was determined to be a person who would bring changes to this situation now and future. She has the cutest dog named Saucesauce.
